X2000NC - The powerful allrounder
The X2000NC is a modular, fully servo-electric wire and tube bending machine that can be configured to customer specifications with various servo-electric units such as NC finger benders, bending slides and presses up to a force of 7000kN. Due to the variable positioning possibilities of the units, a great variety of different forming processes can be realized on the machine. This makes it possible to produce a wide variety of wire, tube and strip products on one X2000NC.

The Schmale X2000 Series
The X2000NC is more than a wire bending machine or pipe bending machine. With its X2000 NC, Schmale presented the first completely servo-electrically driven production system in 2012. The X2000 NC was thus the first machine of its type to handle the drive axle segment without oil or hoses. The Schmale X2000 machine fleet has meanwhile increased to include 4 models: the X2000 NC was supplemented by the X2000 NC-BB and the X2000 BK which is compatible with Bihler tools. The hydro-mechanically driven X2000 D has also been added here. The omission of hydraulic oil has a positive effect on the maintenance requirements of the servo-electric X2000 models as no more oil can leak which must be monitored and removed. Maintenance work such as filling and bleeding of the hydraulic hoses can also be dispensed with. The use of servo-electrical X2000 models saves considerable time for setup work, since mechanical cam discs are no longer necessary. The electronic control system can also be easily operated by touchscreen without long training periods. A major step was taken in the area of energy savings. The power consumption is thus 70% below that of a servo-hydraulic system.
Schmale technology with Bihler compatibility – The X2000BK
In reaction to a series of customer queries, Schmale Maschinenbau developed a system with its X2000BK which enables compatibility with Bihler tools. The background for this was the need of many customers to have higher bending forces available to them. This was achieved by converting a Schmale X2000 NC machine. It was converted with adapter plates in a way that made it compatible with Bihler tools. Forces of up to 240kN are now possible at the bending-slide level. If even more power is required, up to 2000 kN can be added to the X2000 Press models. The wide range of reshaping forces makes it possible to process many different materials. The processing of wire (up to 22 mm), steel strip (up to 5x60 mm) and pipes is possible. Quantities of 200 pieces/min can be achieved with the cycle output, depending on the specific requirement.
